Business Unit Introduction

IBM Global Technology Services (GTS) helps clients plan, implement and manage an efficient, resilient, flexible IT infrastructure. IBM GTS is the partner of choice for infrastructure services – be it transformational outsourcing tied to business outcomes or integrated managed services or discrete services

Who you are:

  • The Senior Integration Architect owns strategy for Integrated Digital Workplace Solutions, determines its user value proposition, and defines the differentiated offering.

  • Is able to design low level technical solutions and has a track record of communicating and defending the technical solutions to Technical, CxO and other non-technical audiences.

What you’ll do :

  • The role of the Technical Architect will be aligned to Digital Workplace Services markets; Primarily - Workplace Modernization Services (Managed Mobility, Desktop /Application Virtualization, and Collaboration Services) and secondly around automation aspects of Workplace Support Service offerings ( Service Desk, Field Services and ServiceNow)

  • In addition to the above technologies the preferred candidate will display strong knowledge in the following areas when applied to Infrastructure solutions – Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Analytics.

  • Has a demonstrated track record of bringing in innovative offerings to market, defining all offering elements and value proposition including components (e.g., services, products, etc.), functionality, UI/UX needs, customer success, digital engagement, APIs, and ecosystem requirements.

  • Brings fresh thinking from experience building business cases, launching differentiated offerings, and designing new Go To Market strategies. Has worked across disciplines/Units to launch new offerings or features with demonstrated commercial success. Is able to design low level technical solutions and has a track record of communicating and defending the technical solutions to CxO audiences. Candidates with strong fluency in English and communication skills preferred.

  • Technical Subject Matter Expert– Senior Architect will sit in the Units and Brands but are expected to lead cross discipline teams, drawing upon resources and expertise across IBM.

  • The focus is on creating complete solutions that may include services as well as ecosystems, go to market, and enablement.

  • Sets direction to plan innovative go-to-market strategies. Determines technical positioning into key market messages and indicates which specific competitors and offerings IBM’s messaging and outreach must position against.

  • Maintains close relationships with sales management and leverages superior communication skills to socialize offering differentiation by market segment and client profile/cohort.

  • Ideal candidate will have technical certifications in key End User technologies like Virtualization, Managed Mobility, Collaboration Service along with industry recognized Enterprise Architecture certifications like TOGAF preferred. Patent applications definitely a plus. Ability to deliver under pressure and being of optimistic disposition is a mandatory soft skill to have.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Total IT experience should be more than 18 years with minimum of 12 years of relevant experience required in Leading Technical Architecture in Infrastructure Services & Technologies.

  • Ideal candidate will have technical certifications in key End User technologies like Virtualization, Managed Mobility, Collaboration Service along with industry recognized Enterprise Architecture certifications like TOGAF preferred. Patent applications definitely a plus. Ability to deliver under pressure and being of optimistic disposition is a mandatory soft skill to have.
