Lead the growth within the Emerging Technology Practice team through thought leadership, repeatable solutions, and enablement. Red Hat is looking for Senior Application Architect for our emerging middleware and application markets to join us in Seoul, South Korea. In this role, you’ll lead the development, delivery, and enablement of enterprise level repeatable solutions associated with a key Red Hat emerging technology set within the Red Hat Consulting Emerging Technology Practice. The solutions that are developed can be innovations of our core solutions or new innovations aligned with clients and the consulting group's needs. You will focus on the core around the processes necessary to lead the adoption of Red Hat Middleware either through migration or modernization of our customers’ environments. You’ll work closely with Red Hat Consulting, Sales, business unit product owners, and other groups to achieve your goals. Within a year in this role, you will be expected to lead services thought leadership, and business success through cross-functional alignment with sales, business units, engineering, support, and enablement. Along with working with sales specialists to integrate and improve customer approaches, track and report on business progress, and align capacity with expected demand.
Primary job responsibilities
Leverage customer use cases and market experience to iteratively improve offerings and enablement programs to best apply to client needs
Support the enablement organization around the Application Migration and Modernization technologies, methodologies, and emerging solutions
Develop consulting solutions and long-term pathways for customers to follow to fully adopt Red Hat technology while leveraging Red Hat Consulting
Guide and mentor to provide consistent and reusable delivery methodologies, with a focus on Red Hat Middleware, Application Development, Emerging Technologies, and long-term supportability
8+ years of experience as a solutions architect, enterprise architect, or architect consulting delivery role
Demonstrated track record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior IT operations and engineering professionals, and business executives
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms; English and Korean language skills
Comfortable working with highly distributed teams, including interaction with the open source communities via email and phone
Solutions sales experience in an environment with multiple products and services
Experience with and deep knowledge of microservices architecture
Good project management skills and experiences
Experience with application migration and modernization solutions
Experience supporting a sales and consulting organization
Good presentation and communication skills
Knowledge of and operational experience with new services methodologies related to next generation Application Migration and Modernization, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), or Agile and DevOps
Ability to quickly embrace and understand new technologies; ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topics
Background in architecting and designing complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain
Demonstrated ability to work with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers
Ability to study and quickly learn and put into practice new topics
Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation
Willingness to travel weekly to client locations throughout the South Korea and Asia Pacific (APAC)
Experience across one or more vertical industry areas preferred
