Cigna Architecture Sr Specialist - Pega in United States


You will design and develop functional and frameworkcomponents of the distributed and high throughput Pega platform and otherapplications in the IT Value Based Services portfolio. You will work in an ITteam under the guidance of the application architect, senior developers andmanagement on delivering projects successfully to production on schedule. Youwill deliver agile and fast-paced enhancements.

You will ensure a systems development methodology isfollowed and key components such as design, testing, code reviews and technicaldocumentation are completed for each project and make recommendations on anyprocess improvements. Participate on projects by developing the technicaldesign, leading the programming effort, assisting with testing, developing designdocumentation, conduct technical training, managing technical implementationtasks, and code as necessary.

  • Ability to pick up new concepts and technologyrapidly; able to explain it to both business & IT stakeholders
  • Understanding of Reactive Architecture andDesign patterns
  • Expertise in objected-orientedtechniques/principles, systems integration using web services and serviceinterfaces, database design, Reporting
  • At least 5 years of experience in 1 or moreprogramming languages
  • Expertise in Enterprise Application Security,Load Balancing
  • Ability to work in SCRUM based Agile teams andpractice Agile methodologies and ceremonies

Preferencewill be given to those individuals who possess 2 years of hands on experienceon PRPC 7.x, SCE, HCIF, BIX and/or other Pega solutions and Pega CSSA, CSA, UIcertification holders.

Technical Skills

5 years of experience required in any of the following -

Web/Integration Technologies : HTML,JavaScript, JSP, CSS, XML, JSON, MQ, JMS, SOAP, REST, WSDL

Languages :Java/C#/Python/Scala, Unix Shell Scripting, SQL

Additionalvaluable skills –

Databases : Oracle/IBM DB2

App Server : JBoss/Websphere

Tools :Log4j, Jenkins, Nexus, uDeploy, SOAPUI

Areas of business domain expertise:

• Healthcare/Medical/Pharmaceutical

• Claim Processing

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as ComputerScience or Engineering preferred or equivalent professional experience
